While designing a structure, engineer assumes certain value of
strength for each of material like cement, concrete, steel, soil, bitumen and aggregate being used therein. When the
structure is being constructed, it is the bounden duty of the field
engineers to get the same validated by regular testing of material.
The quality of materials like concrete used in any infrastructure does play a vital
role with regard to its ultimate strength and durability in the long
run. Hence, the materials of civil engineering lab equipment need to be tested according to certain
standard procedures developed by ASTM, BIS, RDSO to give a
clear picture of material strength.
Strength and durability of any infrastructure is a reflection of the
quality of materials used. Quality control of materials can only be
ensured through certain standard test procedures designed by
ASTM, BIS, RDSO and others.
In many cases, the container soil testing laboratory laboratory for quality testing is the first equipment on the job-site and a smart, efficient, well equipped unit is the best introduction for a contractor.
The Container Lab is designed for use on remote sites, enabling the routine testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to be carried out efficiently.
A wide range of accessories makes the laboratory completely independent and self-sufficient.
Panel-Van Mounted
Used where extreme mobility and manoeuvrability are requested.
The equipment consists one each of: Vibratory table, with a cushioned steel vibrating decks about 75cm x 75cm. It has a frequency of approximately 3600 vibratory table, minute under a 11.5kg load. Amplitude is variable in between 0.65mm in step of 0.05 to 0.25mm, 0.25 to 0.45 mm and 0.45 to 0.65mm. Suitable for operations on 415V, Three Phase supply. Cylindrical metal unit weight mould, 3000ml capacity. Guide sleeve with clamp assembly. Surcharges base plate for mould. Handle for surcharge base plate. Surcharge weight. The total weight together with surcharge base plate and handle is equipment to 140 kg. / cm2. For mould. Cylindrical metal unit weight mould 15000 ml. capacity. (Total weight together with the above mould & surcharge weight is equivalent to 140 kg./ cm2) dial gauge 0.01mm x 50mm travel. Extension piece 25mm for dial gauge.
A normal test is one in which the material between the two clips
pulls out to a point or to a thread and rupture occurs where the
cross-sectional area is minimum. Report the average of three
normal tests as the ductility of the sample, provided the three
determinations be within ± 0.5 percent of their mean value.
